CIX Conferencing created one of the first real online
communities. There may now be a plethora of on line
discussion sites but few if any have been able to create
the sense of warmth that exists within the CIX Conferencing
community. Many have been members for many years and
strong friendships have been formed - some have even married.
For the last 10 years there has been an annual BBQ. These
events once run by CIX Conferencing are now run by
the members.

Amongst CIX Conferencing are some of the best arguers
in the world. Drop in and seek them out. Some of them know
what they are talking about, some shoot from the hip but if
you like banter sharpen your lexicon and come on in.

Not every contributor is an expert and nor is every area of
learning by any means covered but there are some extremely
knowledgeable and experienced people to consult. Probably
the greatest single area of gathered expertise is on IT and
telecoms because many members are self employed IT
and telecom contractors. |

As well as participating in conferences open to all
members users can start their own private discussion
forums for a small group of friends or family.
This is a great way of keeping in touch with friends, family and colleagues in
a modern world where work
and life style choice often put huge physical distance between school friends,
siblings and parents. Each CIX account provides the user with the tools to set
up and moderate their own conferences without recourse to us the provider.

CIX Conferencing can claim to be the birth place of a
number of successful businesses and well before
eBay was even conceived small businesses were
using conferencing to trade goods and services.
This is not so much the case today but Conferencing can still be put to good
effect by business.
CIX Conferencing can help you in business as a
source of advice or as project management tool.
Large companies and organisations have adopted
CIX Conferencing for internal communications
particularly when the participants are spread across
a wide area.
