Customising Ameol
Addon programs

< Previous  |  Next >

Addons are additional programs that are specially written to be used with Ameol. They provide extra functionality or perform particular tasks that would not necessarily be of interest to all users of Ameol.

There are a whole range of addons in existence that deal with such things as moderating Conferences, retrieving billing information from CIX and giving definitions of frequently used acronyms. The best source for addons is the Conferencing system.

Addons integrate directly with Ameol and you will find the commands to run the addon in the Ameol menus. Exactly which menus and what commands will be added will depend on the addon.

To install an Addon, go to the Settings menu and select the Install Addons option click on the Add button and locate the .adn file. To remove an addon, click on the addon in the left window and select the Remove button.

To configure an addon to work with Ameol, go to the Settings menu and select Configure Addons. If you have any configurable addons, you will be able to select the tab for that addon and configure it.

Once your addon is installed, you can view information about it by selecting it in the Installed Addons list and clicking the Info button.

Important Note: Many Ameol addons are written by companies or individuals who are in no way connected to the authors of Ameol. As a result, addons are used entirely at your own risk.
